Defender creator honoured at GDC

The creator of arcade game Defender is to receive a lifetime achievement award from the International Game Developers Association (IGDA).
Eugene Jarvis will be honoured at the Game Developers' Conference in San Francisco next month.
"Eugene Jarvis is one of a handful of names that comes up again and again as the inspiration for other developers," said IGDA's Jason Della Rocca.
